Instructor Terms of Use
MapTools built the Instructor's Corner so that navigation instructors can teach with our materials: core topic guides, exercises, handouts, teaching aids, and presentation materials. We want you to use them. These terms keep that arrangement fair.
What you may do
- Use our materials in your own classes. Print handouts for your students, build your course around our exercises and slides, and adapt the materials to fit your class and your teaching style.
- Distribute materials to your own students as part of a class you teach, whether or not you charge for the class itself.
What we ask in return
- Provide attribution to MapTools.com. Keep our name and www.MapTools.com visible on materials you hand out, and point your students to MapTools.com for their coordinate plotting tools.
What you may not do
- Do not sell our instructional materials to anyone other than your own students. Recovering printing costs from your students is fine; selling the materials themselves to a wider audience is not.
- Do not package and sell a "ready to teach" class built on our materials to other instructors. Our materials are for teaching students, not for resale as curriculum.
- Do not reproduce our instructional materials for resale in any form, to anyone other than your own students.
In short: teach with our materials, credit MapTools.com, and don't resell them.
Instructor access is granted at our discretion and may be revoked if these terms are not followed. Questions about a use these terms don't clearly cover? Just contact us and ask.
